My daughter and her husband were on a vacation and asked me to walk their dogs. While doing that, I slipped on black ice in their car port, broke ankle, had surgery and out of work for a while. My daughter wants me to receive some compensation for loss of pay and pain and suffering.
Her insurance company came to talk with me and taped our conversation. The agent said the case manager would call me very soon. She never called. When my daughter called her broker to ask why the insurance company was not calling, the broker called them and was told that they closed the case because I was at fault, and the home owner was not...Is that true?
I would think if proper steps weren't taken by the propery owner they should be responsible.
